I welcome inquiries from highly motivated students interested in biological control, soil ecology, microbiomes, and sustainable agriculture—especially those excited about bridging molecular tools with real-world ecological questions. Whether your passion is insect–fungus interactions, soil health, or genome-scale analysis of pest/pathogen systems, I’m open to supervising student-driven projects that align with my group’s research themes.

PhD Students

At the moment, I do not have guaranteed funding for PhD students. However, if you have secured external funding (e.g., through fellowships or international scholarships), or are actively pursuing it, I’d be happy to discuss potential project ideas. I may occasionally advertise funded positions, and those will be posted here and shared on my website and social media when available.

I’m also open to co-developing a PhD proposal with strong applicants who are a good fit for the lab and are applying through competitive graduate fellowships (e.g., NSF GRFP, Fulbright, Ford Foundation, or international equivalents).

Master’s Students

I enjoy working with students at different stages—including those looking for shorter, research-intensive projects as part of their Master’s, post-bac training, or even as a stepping stone into a future PhD. If you’re enrolled in a UVM program like PSS, Biology, Microbiology, or related environmental/agricultural sciences, and want to get involved in research on soil organisms, pest management, or microbial ecology, reach out!
